ILLINOIS/IOWA: General ob/gyn clinical practice. Each physician averages 12 to 15 newborn deliveries per month. In addition, they average 10 to 14 major surgeries each month. The ob/gyns schedule office patients three and one half days per week, with an average of 25 to 30 office patients per day. Office procedures include colposcopy, cryotherapy, ultrasound and LEEP. The hospital supports laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, laser surgery and mammography. Rotating 3 or 4 way OB call schedule. The hospital (110 beds) offers a state-of-the-art Birth Center that handles up to 90 newborn deliveries per month. The Birth Center offers 16 LDRP rooms, a surgical suite and out-patient rooms, exhibiting a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. NEW MEXICO: Solo practice obstetrician/gynecologist. Hospital employment and service contract options will be considered. This community hospital, with a service area of 24,000 residents, does not have an ob/gyn on the medical staff. General obstetrics and gynecology practice. Option to utilize a certified nurse midwife. Incoming physician will receive a revenue guarantee for two years. Salary-based compensation or a production-based income could also be provided. The hospital averages 200 newborn deliveries per year. The hospital has 3 LDRP’s with anesthesia services provided by a CRNA. There is a 7 bassinet, Level I newborn nursery. Surgical equipment includes a laparoscope, a colposcope is budgeted. The attraction of the area is the mild climate with over 300 days of sunshine annually. Businesses choosing to locate here find that heating and cooling requirements are minimal. TEXAS: Serve as the first of two ob/gyns in a growing community in northeastern Texas. A 91-bed community hospital, with a modern OB unit with LDRs, will sponsor or employ two ob/gyns. The community has one ob/gyn who will rotate call coverage. There is an out migration of both Obstetrics and Gynecology patients. The hospital projects 10 to 15 newborn deliveries per month and 4 to 6 major surgeries per month, per physician. In addition, there will be 20 to 30 clinic patients per day. Current procedures include laparoscopy, cryotherapy, ultrasound and mammography. The newborn nursery will upgrade to a Level II unit. Anesthesiologists and CRNAs cover the OB Unit and the surgical suites. Add an associate as the practice grows or bring an acquaintance with you. The hospital will provide a revenue guarantee for ob/gyns who prefer an independent practice. There is also the option to start as a hospital employee, with a salary and benefit package. In that instance, the ob/gyn(s) will utilize a turnkey office, managed by the hospital and focus exclusively on the medical aspects of the practice of obstetrics and gynecology.
